Non-Negotiable Hiring Requirements
-High school diploma or GED
-Driver's license
-23-33 age ideal
-33-38 (not ideal, but OK if they seem coachable, takes direction)
-Green industry or pest control experience mandatory 10 months at 1 job
-Consistent work history
-1 professional reference (worked at in last year) *to be followed up with after in-person interview, before job offer
-Drug test (cannabis ok) *to be followed up with after in-person interview, before job offer

ST Applicant Roster. Indeed ads will be running year round at all times, so once per week we will need to reach out to the qualified candidates who recently applied.
-If we are not hiring, a courtesy email will be sent (you are a good fit, the position is currently full, we will keep you in mind in the future)
-If we are actively hiring, start hiring process
*Any correspondence with applicant MUST be recorded on roster. This will allow us to follow up multiple times without harassing applicant. Will also allow us to remove applicant if we have contacted many times and never had a response.

Hiring Process
Follow these steps in pursuing a qualified applicant while we are actively hiring
1. Send a personal text invitation to a phone interview (follow up 3x total, 2x text, 1 email)
2. Phone interview with further screening, testing their knowledge and experience on resume
3. In-person interview to feel them out, see if they are good fit for company
4. Call 1 professional reference
5. Job offer by email
Training- 10 Days to Technician
Week 1- Work with Patrick. During this time they will be trained on how to use machine, use SAP, and all other things required of the job
Week 2- Work with other technician. This will let us know if they are a good fit and will also receive further hands-on training.
End of Week 2- Must pass test on ST procedures (uniform, sign placement, daily work schedule, basic turf questions etc)
Once they have completed these steps they are a technician for Simply Turf! At this point they will begin their 60 day probationary period.
